WCW Backstage Assault Review

Backstage Assault is a fantastic game. Whoever thought up the idea of setting the scene for this game backstage instead of in the ring must have had a stroke of genius! We all know that most of us wrestling fans would rather see what's going on backstage most of the time anyway. Oh sure, we all realize that it's part of the wrestling choreography, but it's still the best part! All of the wrestlers make their presence felt in this knock 'em down, drag 'em around, kick some butt game. So, you still think this isn't as good as the real thing, ok, I'll give ya that. BUT, it's almost as good especially since you can take Goldberg, Big Sexy, Booker T and any of the others to the truck arena, the media center, the bathrooms (can't ya just picture the Stinger giving Jeff Jarrett a swirly?) and these aren't the only areas you can go to. You can also create your own wrestler, give him/her a name, create his/her own abilities, and create a moveset all his/her own. Can't get much more fun than that now can ya? In the hardcore challenge mode you get to go against the best, and let me tell ya you'd better be one tough cookie to make it all the way to the top of THIS challenge.

This isn't a game for those weak of heart; especially once you turn on the realism option because you are gonna see blood! (All the options can be found in the global options menu). So, grab your boots, your tights, your weapons and your wrestling move knowledge and get ready to open up a can of whoop...(Can't say it out loud but you know what I mean) on the first person you can sucker into a match.
